Face the Current is excited to name Chris Assaad to the newly created position of Music Content Curator, effective 07 JAN 2019.
“We are really excited to have Chris join the Face the Current team. We first discovered him as a performer during our coverage of the 2017 Pre-Grammys in Hollywood,” stated Sasha Frate, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Face the Current. “After featuring Chris as an artist in our May edition, we realized there was so much alignment, shared vision and community, that we invited him to contribute. Over a short time it just felt meant to be that he would have a greater role as part of the FtC family, helping develop the music segment and strengthening a connection with a growing global conscious artist community.”

While Chris continues to rise in his music career, create new art, and tour, he now joins the team to help expand and amplify the voice of the conscious artist community with Face the Current. In fact, he recently debuted his new “Conscious Artist Feature” series in our Fall 2018 issue with his interview with Nahko. We know Chris will be full of ideas about covering the music scene as he has a knack for identifying unique talent and high vibe artists.
As the new Face the Current Music Content Curator, Chris will employ his ear for great music, along with his writing and storytelling skills to generate fresh content including artist features, a podcast, and a quarterly #FeelGood music playlist featuring his favorite tracks from established and up and coming artists. Chris will also cover music events and festivals for Face the Current.
