There is so much emphasis nowadays on having a healthy lifestyle, becoming and staying fit and full of energy with which to achieve our goals of happiness and prosperity. Yet in over 30 years of clinical experience as a healer and therapist I have found that many of us are using a large percentage of our available energy to block our own well-being and success!
How can this be?
According to the Law of Attraction, our mind is enormously powerful and all we need do is to concentrate on what we want and it will come to us. Simple, right? Actually it’s rather more complicated.
As with the proverbial iceberg, most of our mind dwells below the “surface” threshold of conscious awareness and, like night and day, is engaged in starkly contrasting activity. Whilst our conscious mind may be bubbling with positive ideas and intentions, in the murky depths below the surface are churning all manner of fears, doubts and negative thoughts. Being by far the larger and stronger part, it is the output of this sub-conscious activity which is more “attractive” and therefore most likely to manifest in our life, sabotaging our biggest and brightest goals and aspirations or at least making it more of a struggle to realize them.

We are born to shine!
As young children we are magical: our powerful and vivid imaginations run free, unfettered by belief in lack or difficulty or by limiting concepts of what is possible or permissible. We dream big dreams for ourselves and our futures, fueled by the single-minded passion of hearts as yet untouched by the cold voice of “reason” or “reality”.
It is exactly this combination of coherent thought, propelled by strong, positive emotion which would, if allowed to flow unchecked, pull our dreams out of the realm of infinite possibility into manifest reality.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your ‘playing small’ does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson. author and inspirational speaker and teacher
It’s within every one of us to attain this vibrant feeling of newness, to reclaim a sense of excitement and adventure about our lives, to engage in our relationships with newfound vigor and passion…

Whilst many, or indeed most of us may have had the corners knocked off, the brightness of our inner light dimmed by the losses and reversals of fortune which life invariably strews in our path, we can all reach inside, extending love and encouragement to the magical child who still dwells in our hearts, polishing up our inner lamps to shine brightly and release our genie (genius!) into the world….This is a condensed version, get Richard’s full article published in Face the Current March edition pages 94 – 97.
